The Canberra Racing Club (CRC) is responsible for Thoroughbred Horse Racing and is the Principal Racing Authority in the ACT. As a member based organisation the Club conducts 25 race meetings per year including ACT’s premier races, The John McGrath Black Opal Stakes and the TAB Canberra Cup. The Club also provides a quality dining experience to all members and patrons when attending feature and non-feature race days while also providing several high quality function venues that can provide dining experiences from small corporate lunches up to 1000 seat functions outside of race days.
Elliott Gray are seeking a new Work, Health & Safety Manager to work for this brilliant organisation. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, in this position you will be responsible for the management of the Club's OHS Management System. This includes providing advice on the implementation of the Club's preventative systems and strategies aimed at reducing workplace risk and accidents/injuries.
In this role, you will contribute to the development, review, maintenance and operation of a wide range of administrative and organisational processes to support the WHS services.
You are someone that has demonstrated knowledge of the implementation of Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems while showing high level communication skills both verbally and written. Your remit in this position is to support the development of OHS policies, programs and SOP's of Thoroughbred Park.
What is desired to be successful for the role?
