Elliott Gray are thrilled to be partnering with the Directorate of Force Structure - Army (DFS-A) in the hunt for someone exceptional to lead the program of reform they have embarked on to enable the future of the Army workforce, ready to meet the challenges ahead.
The DFS-A is the team charged with providing an 'organisational conscience' for Army. They exist to deliver a land force structure that will be capable of meeting the future strategic requirements of Defence. They do this through the achievement of three key activities:
- Plan & manage current and future Force Structure to meet Chief of Army and Chief of the Defence Force requirements within allocated resources;
- Lead and enable reforms to underpin the planning of the Army Objective Force, the Future Ready Workforce, and the adoption of the new Defence Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution;
- Deliver the Army Force Structure Implementation Plan
To achieve this, DFS-A manage a large program of rapidly evolving and interconnected projects that work together to deliver the reform and achieve the goal of an affordable and sustainable future Army workforce. The Reform Program Manager will support the full range of activities to achieve this aim - including consolidation of existing practices, scaling of operations and establishing key measures of success.
This role is essentially the Chief Operating Officer of the Directorate. Existing to pull together all facets of the program from a people, commercial, technological, product and general business management perspective. We are looking for a strategic and diverse individual who can bring together a large and complex stakeholder group, including a number of external service providers. They will be able to see the future - understand the unique interactions between the various projects and how they integrate complex moving parts to achieve the future.
We are seeking a true professional who is seeking to bring together their diverse skill-set and experience across Defence and commercial industry to achieve big reform. The future looks bright here, with opportunities after the initial engagement period of 8 months for the right person. If you don't already have one, you will need to get a clearance; so Australian Citizenship is a must-have. The hourly rate will be dependent on the person but will align with an equivalent EL2/Band1 level.
