Elliott Gray is extremely pleased to be partnering with this national peak health organisation. This organisation takes extreme pride in their work to improve the quality of life of people living with pain, their families and carers, and to minimise the social and economic burden of pain. Working collaboratively with their members that include pain specialists, health practitioners, health groups, consumers and researchers. Whilst also operating within their network to inform practical and strategic solutions to address this complex and widespread issue. 

Joining the tight knit team as their new Policy Officer. Our client is seeking a purpose driven individual with the ability and passion to take control of developing policy for their organisation. In this position you will be responsible for undertaking research and projects, maintaining stakeholder engagement and supporting the organisation’s advocacy activities on behalf of people who live with chronic pain. 

Having the personable skills and experience in marketing and communication is a must have for this position! To be perfect for this role, you are someone that has a high level of initiative with the ability to work autonomously with exceptional attention to detail.

The remit of the role will encompass the following but not limited to:
  • Ensuring members are kept well-informed about key policy developments for the sector, which includes communicating the organisations position and advice to members through written materials such as blogs and newsletters.
  • Identify opportunities for the development of strategic partnerships with other organisations/stakeholders and participate in meetings and the development of proposals and project briefs for potential partnerships.
  • Ensuring that you remain up to date on key health issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key influencers and supporters within the sector, including members, advisers, influencers and other key health sector leaders, academics, and corporate organisations.
Ideally to be considered for this role, you are someone with at least 5 years experience in policy development. Having a background in health-related disciplines is desirable but not necessary if you hold the correct tertiary level qualifications.
