Jump at this opportunity to take-charge, manage upwards and be part of something bigger!

The National Australia Day Council exists to promote and inspire national pride and spirit to enrich the life of the nation. A fast-paced environment with high-profile stakeholders, this organisation deliver a large and impressive work program with a small, dedicated and extremely hard-working team of people located in Canberra.

We are excited to be partnering with the Council in their search for the perfect person to provide high-level support to a successful and down-to-earth CEO, whilst also providing the executive support to the COO and Board from a coordination perspective.

So, what can we tell you about this role? Let's start with the people you are supporting.

The Executive team of the NADC work tirelessly to deliver on their commitment to the NADC mission. The work program is demanding but incredibly rewarding and the Council has been hugely successful since this Executive team started together on their journey with the NADC three years ago. They are impressive, knowledgeable and experts in their own areas of delivery - what a great opportunity to learn from the best!

The role?

This is your opportunity to utilise your expertise in upward management and the delivery of executive support. The duties will be broad, but include classic tasks like travel coordination and management; CEO calendar management and appointment bookings; meeting briefings and preparation for the CEO; Board meeting coordination and logistics; Board meeting minutes; and coordination of the Agenda. Having said that, this is a small team who all pitch in to get things done together, so the 'ad hoc duties' as required aspect of this role takes someone with an open mindset and flexible attitude to muck in and do whatever it takes!

The person?

Someone who enjoys wrangling people and organising them!

Attention to detail is your calling card. Ownership is your middle name. You love working in a fast-paced, event-focused environment, and while most people look to summer as the time for a break - you are able to put your all in from October to January on the crazy but rewarding run-up to the 'Australian of the Year' Awards.

In summary.

This really is a great opportunity for a highly-skilled executive support officer who loves everything and everyone Australian. Your chance to be part of something high-profile with the opportunity to meet some amazing people along the way!

Please apply today with your CV and a cover letter detailing what stands you apart from the crowd. Applications will be assessed as they arrive, so don't delay!
