Here at Elliott Gray we love it when our clients come to us with really meaty roles! Here is one of those great opportunities, with a highly-sought after Department.

What do we need?

An APS 6 HR Officer with an ability to conceptualise process; visualise how they interact with systems; understand the end-user and the way they will interact with the process; and then make it all happen through the design of policy, procedures and training.

We want someone who knows HR theory and can create the best possible solutions for this policy-focused Department in the areas of recruitment and internal mobility.

Freedom to create. This role requires the right mind and ability to work autonomously and independently to design and bring concepts to life.

What are those must-haves for the right person?

First and foremost, as much as I hate to say it, we do need an NV1 cleared person OR an outstanding HR strategist with a baseline looking to upgrade.

Secondly, we need a seasoned strategic HR person who can look at areas like talent attraction, recruitment and selection, and internal workforce mobility and see the whole process from an organisational level. We want those big picture thinkers who can reach down, who then know required the steps to bring their concepts to life.

Thirdly, stakeholder engagement is a must! HR needs to be fit for purpose and enable the business. We need that person who knows how to engage, seek feedback and sell the process for success.

Finally, ideally you are a qualified HR professional through either qualifications or extensive HR experience. We would also happily hear from those HR people who have had an operational HR focus, but hold a Bachelor in HR and want to put their theoretical education into practice.

The other bits and pieces?

Initially a 6 month role to backfill the promotion of the previous incumbent, but this is a vacancy so all going well there is a long-term opportunity available. This can be either labour-hire or non-ongoing, we are open to both.

Remote working initially, with the aim to return to the office once lockdown is over. There will be the option to attend the office initially for training and onboarding though - the Manager wants to set this person up for success!
